My Story

Allyson Kelley is an author, researcher, and person who remembers.   She is also the principal consultant of Allyson Kelley & Associates, a small woman-owned business working toward a collective vision of community healing and transformation.
Dr. Allyson Kelley has written five books: Evaluation in Rural Communities, Public Health Evaluation and the Social Determinants of Health, Treatment Program Evaluation, Spiritual Healing for Trauma and Addiction, and her latest, A Sacred Identity, Practices for Awakening Consciousness.

Allyson went to school to learn how to be in a world of intellectuals and research paradigms. She earned degrees that give her initials after her name. Some people know what these mean, others do not care. Allyson’s work now focuses on how to lessen suffering and address health and inequities.
Allyson is proud of her family and ancestors- Swedish Immigrants, Irish potato farmers, and descendants of the Eastern Band of Cherokee. She treasures her role as a mother, auntie, and daughter. She lives in the mountains of Central Oregon. When she’s not working with communities - she paints, writes books and poetry, and grows herbs to make medicine.
